My video response to Dr. Brook’s most recent email. Are we just a class of loosely connected people?
This is my first try at vlogging. I’m going to try to post a reading response later tonight or tomorrow.
Yay YouTube?!

Good to hear you feel connected! Students in this course have historically said similar things, but I have never asked them to use so many services before. They just used to talk to each other on Bb discussion boards. Way more interesting, challenging, and fun this time around!
I have to ask: how / why did you decide to film while lying down? Worked fine; I’m just curious. Don’t feel you have to answer that.
I’m actually not lying down. I’m sitting on my couch. Without really thinking about it, I tend to just set my hand on top of my head though… so that probably made it look like I was lying down. My netbook is really portable and I typically use it while lounging around in my living room. I wasn’t even planning on making a real video at the time, just trying to test it out. However, then I watched it and was satisfied enough with it to post it.
When it comes to lying down…a lot of people vlog like that. It’s a casual, more easy-going way to vlog, and I think it feels more conversational.
This was a great one! Props to you! I agree with what you are saying about knowing the people behind the screen name. I do not think that we would talk this much or reveal this much in an actual class setting.
Nice video! I’m not sure that I have anything video-worthy to say yet…but kudos to you for getting a video up so early in the week :)
Thanks… it seems like it’s easier to get in on the conversation that way.
